| Each round including the semi final will be played on a home and away basis, the same as the Champions League. After 90 mins of the second leg, if the scores are tied, away goals will count as double. If the scores are still tied, 15 mins extra time each way will be played and away goals will still count as double. Should the scores still be level then a penalty shoot out will be used to decide the winning club. Away goals only count double when the scores are tied | |||||||
| Some examples of the away goals counting double in the event of a tied game are as follows:- | |||||||
| (a) 1st leg City 2-0 Utd, 2nd leg (90 mins) Utd 2-0 City, (2-2) no goals during extra time, penalties to decide | |||||||
| (b) 1st leg City 2-0 Utd, 2nd leg (90 mins) Utd 2-0 City, (2-2) extra time each side scores 1 goal, City win on away goals | |||||||
| (c) 1st leg City 2-1 Utd, 2nd leg (90 mins) Utd 3-2 City, (4-4) City win on away goals - No extra time | |||||||
| (d) 1st leg City 2-4 Utd, 2nd leg (90 mins) Utd 0-2 City, (4-4) Utd win on away goals - No extra time | |||||||
